Judicial Council of California, Glenn County Courthouse Renovation/Expansion

Willows, CA

The two-story, 16,100 sf courthouse is one of two facilities from which the Superior Court of Glenn County operates. The historic courthouse was constructed of unreinforced brick masonry in 1894. The project included improvements to security, consolidation of the two facilities, seismic strengthening, and improvements to MEP systems. A two-story, 26,900 sf addition was constructed behind the historic courthouse. The addition houses clerk's offices and court operations, two courtrooms, the sheriff, and holding areas for in-custody defendants. R+C was the structural engineer for the retrofit and renovation project.
