The Yosemite Hall project redeveloped Webster Hall to increase the dormitory’s capacity and improve building amenities. Adding over 120 beds, Yosemite Hall comprises 4 stories of student housing and common spaces such as an Academic Advising Center, mailroom, Computer Center, and Community Kitchen. The U-shaped building creates a semi-enclosed inner courtyard with benches and greenery perfect for studying or relaxing with friends.
The building, delivered via the design-build method, is a metal stud bearing wall system structure. R+C utilized pre-fabricated panels to improve the cost and schedule, and the entire superstructure, metal walls, and studs were prefabricated offsite.
