Rutherford + Chekene is proud to have contributed to two groundbreaking projects that recently opened, each enhancing STEM education and fostering innovation.
At San Francisco State University, we provided structural and geotechnical engineering services for the transformative new Science and Engineering Innovation Center. This 125,000-square-foot design-build project revitalized a mid-century facility, transforming it into a modern hub for scientific discovery and innovation.
At Cal State East Bay, we supported the design and construction of the new Braddock Center for Science and Innovation. This 94,700-square-foot facility is designed to support STEM education and research while promoting collaboration across campus. Both projects reflect our commitment to advancing higher education infrastructure with cutting-edge solutions.
At City College of San Francisco, we provided structural engineering for the new 120,000 sf STEAM building, which provides space for modern science, technology, engineering, arts, and math education. The five-story building features art education space on the ground floor and general purpose classrooms and laboratories on the floors above.
