Laura Ellington joined R+C in 2023, bringing close to 30 years of marketing and business development experience within the AEC industry. Laura works closely with the leadership team to create strategies for specific project pursuits and build relationships across R+C's broad market reach. Laura enjoys the entrepreneurial culture within R+C and is proud to support and promote the sustainable practices of R+C's innovative staff. Laura finds it particularly rewarding to mentor junior staff as their roles evolve to include business development activities.

Alan led the R+C team to design a visually minimal support structure for the complex photovoltaic panel canopy between buildings at UC Merced’s Science and Engineering 2 building. The canopy is composed of vertical as well as horizontal PV panels and provides not only a solar energy source for the building, but shading for the plaza and a visually striking entrance.
