Rutherford & Chekene’s work as a prime consultant includes seismic assessments, retrofit designs and peer reviews under direct contract with government agencies, public institutions and private entities. For the United States Overseas Building Operations, we evaluated more than 20 embassy sites located in high seismic zones around the world. We have also evaluated multiple facilities in moderate to high seismic zones across the country for the United States General Services Administration.
Our work in California has included evaluating existing state-owned facilities and designing retrofit solutions for the California Department of General Services and Administrative Office of the Courts. Our prime consultant responsibilities vary, but always include listening carefully to our client’s needs, setting direction for our project team, establishing schedules, and monitoring our work carefully to ensure our end product meets each client’s goals.
