Mission Hall marks the transition of the university's hub to Mission Bay. The six-story building brings together 1,500 multidisciplinary researchers and doctors. UCSF's goals included meeting a highly aggressive two-year design and construction schedule via design-build delivery. When the need arose to compress the schedule, we worked directly with trade subcontractors, re-analyzing structural components to keep the project on schedule. We regularly participated in the Big Room, anticipated potential problems, and developed solutions for immediate application as needed during construction.
