The new Gallagher Hall and Conference Center house the Graduate School of Management. The 82,000 sf state-of-the-art facility is composed of two buildings, which include interactive learning classrooms; extracurricular space; a centralized center for admissions, student programs, and career services; offices; a conference space; and an outdoor courtyard. With 30 percent greater energy efficiency than a traditional office building, the building is certified LEED Platinum.Structural contributions to the green design included concrete structural deck, radiant piping, an efficient steel layout to reduce tonnage and increase natural light, and deep excavation for a ground source heat pump. All design team members used Building Information Modeling. R+C provided structural engineering services for the fast-track, design-build project.
