For the 1970s vintage Xanadu House, R+C’s design team provided new programming, added life safety and telecommunication features; updated architectural finishes; remodeled the kitchen, dining area and restrooms; and installed new site landscaping. R+C provided structural engineering services, including a complete seismic rehabilitation to meet current Stanford University standards and the lowering of a portion of the bottom story to permit a new accessible pathway. Xanadu House is a wood frame student row house with 12,000 sf in three stories.
