Awards

Designed as a potential Olympic venue, the expansion of the aquatic center included three new pools. The diving pool features a sparger to generate a burst of bubbles to soften impact on divers. Moveable bulkheads in the training pool permit its use for a variety of swimming competitions or water polo. Other improvements to the center included varsity and recreation locker rooms, a pool control office, canopies over bleachers and new filter equipment. Rutherford + Chekene provided structural and geotechnical engineering services to the team.
