R+C provided structural and geotechnical engineering for the Boarding Area B (B/A B) renewal of SFO’s Harvey Milk Terminal 1 which was completed in three phases to minimize disruptions to airport operations. Part of a $2B project to modernize the Terminal 1, the new B/A B is divided into three levels and includes lounges, concessions, and numerous public art instillations. The calming light-filled space was designed to support SFO’s vision of a next-generation travel experience. This project is LEED Platinum.
