UC Santa Cruz McHenry Library
Santa Cruz, California
The renovation and expansion of the McHenry Library is part of an ongoing effort to accommodate significant enrollment growth at the Santa Cruz campus. The design retrofits the existing 162,000 square foot library and adds 119,000 square feet, transforming the building into a state-of-the-art research facility for the arts, humanities, and social sciences programs. The project incorporates sustainable measures including the use of 50 percent fly ash concrete mix. R&C is providing structural engineering services for the project.
