B.F. Sisk Courthouse Conversion
Fresno, California
The 185,000 square foot concrete framed building is located on the Civic Plaza in downtown Fresno. The five-story building was originally a Federal District Court and was conveyed to the State for Superior Court use. Renovation of the building consists of an upgrade of all systems, core and shell interior improvements, and a structural strengthening to resist seismic forces. The interior renovation modifies eight existing courtrooms to meet Superior Court standards, creates eight new courtrooms, and upgrades the remaining space for administrative and building support uses. R&C is the structural and geotechnical engineer for the project.
