Stanford School of Medicine Lorry I. Lokey Stem Cell Research Building
Stanford, California
The 200,000 square foot Lorry I. Lokey Stem Cell Research Building houses the Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine, the Neuroscience Institute, and related support disciplines. The building also provides a 24,000 square foot vivarium and research core facilities, including a tissue bank, imaging and genomics. The building uses buckling-restrained braced frames as the lateral force-resisting system. R&C was structural engineer of record on the project.
