R&C provided structural engineering services for this new laboratory project. The upper floors contain 245,000 square feet of laboratory and office space, with 160,000 square feet of parking beneath the building. The design uses buckling-restrained braced frames. The project was highly cost- and schedule-driven and required close collaboration between developer, contractor and design team. The schedule for design required completion of the main structural package five months after start of design.
