Maureen Joyce

Maureen has been with R+C for 10 years and has managed the structural team for a number of the firm’s significant new design and retrofit projects. Her current work includes the structural design for the new hospital for the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose.

Maureen has recently focused on green design applications in structural engineering. This is reflected in her work on two new projects at Mills College in Oakland. The new home of the Lorry I. Lokey Graduate School of Business was designed to LEED Gold standards and the Betty Irene Moore Natural Sciences Building received LEED Platinum certification.

Maureen has been involved in writing and reviewing seismic code change proposals for the American Concrete Institute. She also co-authored the concrete chapter of the Structural Engineers Association of California's Blue Book.
