Laurel Jiang

Laurel has been with R&C since 2005 and has 12 years of geotechnical engineering experience. She is currently providing geotechnical engineering, construction observation and investigation management services for two hospitals at Stanford University. The Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital involves an expansion to include 104 new patient beds and included a complex geotechnical investigation. The new Stanford Hospital will expand the space by 824,000 square feet and incorporates base isolation while addressing challenging soils conditions.

Laurel is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Within R&C, she participates in recruiting and training interns for the firm’s geotechnical department. She works closely with the head of the geotechnical department to provide strong communication to owners and with design team members from geotechnical investigation through construction observation.
