Helen has spent 23 of her 26 years in structural engineering with R&C. She nurtures her projects and will go to great lengths to ensure they succeed. She works closely with clients to achieve their visions of a building’s potential. Over the course of her career, she has focused on university buildings and libraries.

Currently, Helen specializes in healthcare projects. Her projects include the renovation and retrofit of the Davies Campus at the California Pacific Medical Center and the new Catholic Healthcare West, Mercy San Juan Patient Tower. Helen is serving as principal structural engineer for the new women’s, children’s and cancer hospital at the UC San Francisco Mission Bay Medical Center. She recently completed the Mills College Music Building renovation, which received a 2009 California Preservation Award.

Helen was recently elected to R&C’s board of directors and heads the in-house OSHPD Best Practices Committee. She also leads R&C’s mentoring committee, which pairs senior engineer mentors with employees just beginning their careers.
