David has been with R+C for 11 years and has 15 years of structural engineering experience. He works collaboratively with design and construction teams to develop an accommodating structural design while easing constructability. He has managed structural teams for and designed a variety of public and private buildings for some of R+C’s most significant clients.

David's current projects include the new Sutter Medical Foundation Office Building and Energy Center, the renovation of the Sutter General Hospital in Sacramento, and renovations of piers 15 and 17 in San Francisco for the relocation of the Exploratorium. His portfolio also includes the UC San Diego's Atkinson Hall for Calit2 and the UC Berkeley Stanley Hall Laboratory nanotechnology research facilities. His green design projects include the Stanford University Global Ecology Research Center and the UC Merced Science and Engineering Building.

David also trains engineers new to the field and is involved in the R+C-hosted training sessions for the structural portion of the Architect Registration Examination. David is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California and the San Francisco Planning + Urban Research Association.
