Ayse joined R&C in 1999 after receiving her master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Since joining the firm, she has been involved with the design of new buildings and seismic retrofit of existing buildings.

Her structural design experience includes the Ferry Building Marketplace renovation on the San Francisco waterfront, the award-winning UC Berkeley Units 1 and 2 Infill Housing, the UC Santa Cruz McHenry Library expansion, and the EmeryStation East biotechnology laboratory in Emeryville.

Ayse is experienced in advanced analysis of structures to understand the expected performance in earthquakes. She has been LEED accredited since 2005, and she is involved with the Sustainable Design Committee of the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California. Currently, she is the internship coordinator for R&C.
