Mark Saunders, S.E.: As President, Mark maintains a management
overview of the firm's operations to assure client satisfaction
and the highest standards of professional practice while continuing
to serve as principal-in-charge of selected projects. Mark is a
past director and/or president of the Structural Engineers Association
of Northern California, the Applied Technology Council and Structural
Engineers Association of California. Mark currently serves on the
California Hospital Building Safety Board. His current and recent
work includes the Laguna Honda Hospital, the Lawrence Berkeley National
Laboratory Molecular Foundry, and the Mondavi Institute for Wine
& Food Science at UC Davis. |

David
Bleiman, S.E.: David has over 20 years of experience in
structural engineering and has worked on a wide range of projects.
He has held project management responsibility on a variety of commercial,
civic and industrial projects. His current and recent projects include
project management for the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory
Helios Facility and the Sutter General Medical Center Expansion
in Sacramento. David leads the firm's Building Information Modeling
studio, with numerous projects in design with Revit.

| Dominic
Campi, S.E.: With the firm since 1981, Dom has over 25
years of experience in structural engineering. He has managed a
broad scope of projects, including institutional and healthcare
facilities, libraries, commercial facilities and projects involving
seismic upgrading and evaluation. He is currently working on libraries
for the cities of Milpitas and Walnut Creek and recently completed
the new Fairfield-Cordelia library. Dom is also currently serving
as principal structural engineer for the Southside Police Station
in San Jose. |

Helen Fehr, S.E.:
Helen’s career in recent years has focused on healthcare projects
such as the retrofit of the CPMC Davies campus and the new Mercy
San Juan Hospital. Additionally, Helen is serving as project manager
of structural engineering for one half of the new UCSF Mission Bay
Hospital, a $1 billion project. She chairs R&C’s in-house
OSHPD Committee, which develops and shares best practices with our
engineering staff for design, documentation and approvals processing
of California hospitals. |

Larry
Fournier:
Larry directs R&C's marketing and business development. Associated
with architectural and design firms for the majority of his 30-year
career, Larry has experience and insights into a wide range of market
sectors and business development strategies.
Larry maintains an active presence in
the Bay Area design community. His involvement with the AIA San
Francisco includes fundraising and leadership roles. He also helped
establish the Bay Area Academy of Architecture for Justice. He has
served on the Board of the Society for Marketing Professional Services.

| William
T. Holmes, S.E.: Bill is an internationally recognized
expert in the field of seismic design. He has concentrated recent
efforts on the development of seismic strengthening techniques for
existing buildings and developing structural design standards for
hospital facilities. An active member of the engineering community,
he has served on numerous national and international committees
devoted to improving seismic safety and building codes, working
with funding from agencies such as FEMA, NEHRP, and the National
Science Foundation. |

Afshar
Jalalian, S.E.:
Afshar’s experience includes responsibility for many of R&C’s
prime contract commissions such as institutional campus seismic
assessment programs. His clients include the U.S. General Services
Administration, the California Administrative Office of the Courts
and several of the UC campuses. Afshar’s current projects
include the McHenry Library Renovation at UC Santa Cruz, which includes
a 119,000 sf addition to the existing campus library. |

| Gyimah
Kasali, Ph.D.: Gyimah leads the R&C geotechnical group
and has performed engineering and managerial services on many of
the firms major projects. He is routinely involved with projects
that involve marginal, landfill and other difficult sites; construction
observation of shallow and deep foundations and excavations; evaluation
of liquefaction potential of sites and studies of environmental
and earthquake-induced hazards; and analysis of soil-structure interaction
problems. Projects include the New de Young Museum, the CCSF Health
& Wellness Center; and UCSF's Institute for Regeneration Medicine.

| Thomas
W. Lauck, S.E.: With 25 years of professional experience,
Tom has focused on laboratory and technology facilities in recent
years, serving as principal on the new Stanley Hall laboratory for
research in applications of nanotechnology at UC Berkeley; Sun Microsystems
campus; and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory User Support
Building. He is also responsible for the structural design team
of the Mills Peninsula Medical Center. |

| Bret
Lizundia, S.E.: Bret is widely recognized as an innovator
in the field of seismic engineering. In his 19 years at R&C, he
has served as project principal and senior structural engineer on
many of the firm's most challenging projects, including the retrofit
of Frank Lloyd Wright's Hanna House, the New de Young Museum in
Golden Gate Park, and Genentech Hall at UCSF Mission Bay.
His current portfolio includes the UC Berkeley Li Ka-Shing Center
for Biomedical & Health Sciences and the UCSC Digital Arts Facility.

| Joe
Maffei, S.E., Ph.D., LEED AP: Joe is an internationally recognized
expert on the seismic design and retrofitting of concrete buildings.
Joe is the chair of the Concrete Committee of the Structural Engineers
Association of California (SEAOC) Seismology Committee, lead author
of the concrete chapter of the SEAOC Blue Book, and SEAOC’s
official liaison to the American Concrete Institute (ACI). Joe has
led numerous high-rise peer reviews for the cities of Seattle, San
Francisco, Sacramento and Bellevue. |

| Richard
Niewiarowski, S.E.: Rich was the principal structural engineer
for the New de Young Museum and the Tien Center for East Asian Studies
at UC Berkeley. Many of his other recent projects have involved
waterfront sites, including the retrofit of the landmark Ferry Building
and the Exploratorium relocation. He currently serves on the California
State University Seismic Review Board, which advises the university
on structural and seismic issues and provides peer review to individual
campuses. |

| Peter
Revelli, S.E., LEED AP: With
the firm since 1980, Peter has served as a principal on such significant
contracts as the Supervising Structural Engineer for the Courts
Building Seismic Assessment Program by the Administrative Office
of the Courts. Peter has also expanded R&C's portfolio of work
as prime consultant to include numerous commissions with the State
of California and the U.S. General Services Administration for seismic
retrofit and evaluations throughout the country. |

| Patrick
Ryan, S.E., LEED AP:
Recently named Chief Operating Officer at R&C, Patrick works
with R&C’s engineers to continuously improve service to
clients by ensuring that training and quality control efforts incorporate
the latest industry tools and practices as well as in-house innovative
thinking. His current projects include the Santa Clara Valley Medical
Center Hospital Bed Building, and the Exploratorium relocation to
Piers 15 and 17. |

| Joseph
D. Ungerer, S.E.: Joe has over 25 years
of experience in structural design. His current projects include
the Preliminary Utility Plant at the UCSF Mission Bay campus and
a research facility for a top biotechnology client, being designed
with 3D models in Revit. Past projects include the award-winning
St. Dominic's Church retrofit and the design of the Pixar Animation
Studios headquarters in Emeryville. |

Wayne
Wong, S.E.: Wayne has served in a senior role on several
prominent projects since joining Rutherford & Chekene in 1986
and currently leads the firm's nonstructural group. He specializes
in healthcare, with a portfolio of notable projects including the
major expansion of Kaiser Permanente Healthcare's Vallejo campus,
renovations and remodels for the California Pacific Medical Center,
and the UCSF Mt. Zion Clinical Expansion.
