Two R&C projects have recently won the SEAONC Excellence in Structural Engineering Award! The UC Berkeley Residence Units 1&2 Infill Housing won an Award of Excellence for New Construction, and the SEAONC Recommended Administrative Bulletin on the Seismic Design and Review of Tall Buildings Using Non-Prescriptive Procedures won an Award of Excellence in the Study/Research/Guidelines category.

Walterio López, R&C senior associate, was recently awarded the 2008 AISC T.R. Higgins Lectureship Award. The award recognizes technical papers that are considered outstanding literature concerning fabricated structural steel. Walterio co-authored Seismic Design of Buckling-Restrained Braced Frames, which included step-by-step design procedures, modeling tips and selected testing data.
