Center for the Performing Arts, San Francisco, California
The Center is an 800-seat proscenium theater complete with support
spaces and a fly loft. R&C's structural and civil engineers
provided designs for the steel frame structure, which rests on a
portion of the Moscone Convention Center's framing system.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival Allen Pavilion, Ashland, Oregon
The open-air, 875-seat theater features a sloped main floor area, a wraparound gallery, side box seats and a control room. Rutherford & Chekene served as structural engineer on the project.

Mountain View Civic Center, Mountain View, California
The Civic Center complex features a 625-seat proscenium performing
arts theater. R&C provided multidisciplinary engineering services
on the project, which includes a 200-seat black box theater and
rehearsal spaces.

Ohlone Performing Arts Center, Fremont, California
The new complex, located on the Ohlone Community College campus, includes a 400-seat proscenium theater, along with a 700-seat outdoor theater and several rehearsal and instruction facilities. R&C provided structural and civil engineering services.

Center for Wine, Food & the Arts, Napa, California
R&C's structural and civil engineers performed a variety
of services during the construction of Napa's American Center for
Wine, Food & the Arts. The Center houses everything from art
galleries and gourmet restaurants to a 500-seat performance pavilion.

Stanford University Braun Music Center, Stanford, California
The Braun Music Center includes a 225-seat recital hall, teaching
studios, and a music and piano library. R&C provided structural
and geotechnical engineering services.

California Fox Theater, San Jose, California
Formerly a vaudeville venue and movie house, the Fox was converted
into a large multipurpose performance space and new home of the
San Jose Opera. Additions include a new four-story "back of
house" complete with all theatrical amenities.

Campbell Theater, Campbell, California
R&C provided seismic structural design services for the
project, which included the addition of new arcades, lobby expansion,
stage extension, construction of a new orchestra pit, new backstage
building, and renovation of the seating floor and balcony. The building
is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and special
consideration was given to preservation of the building's historic
status.
