Sun Microsystems WWOPS Campus, Newark, California
R&C's civil and structural team worked within strict internal
loss prevention guidelines in the design of the WWOPS campus, one
of only two Sun manufacturing sites worldwide. The one million square-foot,
multi-phased project also includes software development and administrative
functions. |

Pixar Animation Studios, Emeryville, California
Designed with exposed riveted steel trusses to evoke historic
industrial buildings, Pixar Studios is actually a state-of-the-art
data center supporting the creation of digital animation. R&C
provided structural engineering solutions, including base isolation,
for this project. |

West Village, Emeryville, California
The renovation and build-out of 56,000 sf of tenant improvements
to a vintage warehouse included private and open offices, a yoga
studio, art studio and screening rooms, as well as video teleconferencing
rooms. The project was designed to be cost efficient and took only
ten months to build. |

Micron Technology, Lehi, Utah Rutherford & Chekene provided structural engineering services for the fast-track construction of this vast manufacturing campus. Located near the Wasatch fault, the project included designs for semiconductor assembly and product testing. | |

Ferry Building, San Francisco, California
Built in 1896, this renovated landmark contains restaurants,
retail shops and Class A office space. R&C provided structural
engineering services for the retrofit of the structure, which is
built entirely over piers in San Francisco Bay.

Pier One, San Francisco, California Renovation of the pier structure into office space included seismic upgrades, the addition of an interior mezzanine and construction of a public promenade along the water's edge. R&C provided both structural and civil engineering services. | |

Office of the Secretary of State & State Archives, Sacramento, California
This large-scale project required the renovation of a 500,000
square-foot building containing the Golden State Museum and Archives,
along with the executive and administrative offices of the Secretary
of State. R&C provided structural engineering services.
